Boni Johnston Canning is a Northern California artist who loves to travel and photograph romantic and charming scenes. Many of these scenes are of North American wineries and small towns, while others were found in beautiful areas in Europe.
Boni received her first Brownie camera as a young child and was instantly fascinated by photographing her friends and pets. Eventually she graduated to more sophisticated camera equipment, formal training, and a wider variety of subjects. In the early 2000's she became a professional portrait, wedding, and fine-art photographer.
As a fine-art photographer, Boni delights in creating an exceptional image that draws the viewer right into the scene. She hopes to share enjoyment of these special moments and sights. She sees potential photographs almost everywhere, in fact she often photographs her own family, garden, and cooking projects just for fun.
You can find Boni's photo giclee canvases at the Gold Country Artists Gallery in Placerville.
